DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE

We pick you up at the airport for our immersive 10-day Uganda Safari, designed to bring you closer to nature. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the lodge to unwind and relax after your journey. If time permits, we can venture to the nearby Mabamba Swamp to seek out the prehistoric-looking Shoebill Stork, a unique bird that will surely captivate any birding enthusiast.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO LODGE BY MURCHISON FALLS NP VIA RHINO TREKKING

Rise early as we embark on our trip to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, we will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will have the thrilling opportunity to encounter rhinos up close. This is your first chance to check off one of the Big 5 during your 10-day Uganda Safari! Accompanied by a specialist guide, you will embark on a walking tour of the sanctuary to observe these magnificent creatures. Afterward, we continue our journey towards the lodge by Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch along the way.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT-CRUISE ON THE NILE IN MURCHISON FALLS NP

Set out early for an exhilarating morning game drive in the park. Here, you’ll encounter fascinating wildlife, including Big Cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, and Buffalos. Murchison Falls National Park boasts a checklist of 76 mammal species, making it a wildlife haven. We will explore the drive circuits up to the Delta point for a delightful mix of birds and mammals. After a leisurely lunch at the lodge, we’ll embark on a three-hour boat cruise along the mighty Nile to the base of the falls. Expect to see numerous Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants, and an array of stunning bird species lining the banks.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NP

Following breakfast, we transition toward Kibale Forest National Park, continuing our 10-day Uganda Safari. This journey involves a long drive aimed at reaching Fort Portal for lunch. Along the way, we’ll enjoy scenic stopovers, including the Rift Valley escarpment overlooking Lake Albert, traditional African village setups, and breathtaking tea plantations. Later in the afternoon, we check into an area rich in primate diversity and stunning landscapes.

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE FOREST & TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NP

In the morning, we delve into Kibale Forest, known as the Primate Capital, for a thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience. This three-hour adventure places you in the heart of a misty rainforest home to over 1,500 Chimpanzees. Witness the chimps in their natural habitat as they engage in grooming, socializing, and nurturing their young. Also, keep an eye out for nine species of monkeys, including Red Colobus and Red-tailed Monkeys. After a rewarding trek, we transfer to our lodge near Queen Elizabeth National Park via the crater lakes region.

DAY 6: GAME-DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Experience the splendor of Queen Elizabeth National Park with an early morning game drive. Here, you’ll have a chance to spot members of the Big 5 such as Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, and even Leopards. The park is abundant in wildlife, from Warthogs to Hyenas. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the rich avifauna, including the famous storks found around the wetland areas and flamingos in the salt lakes. Later, we’ll embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 36-kilometer waterway linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Witness Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants, and Warthogs along the banks.

DAY 7: VILLAGE WALK IN KYAMBURA & GAME-DRIVE IN ISHASHA

This morning’s village walk in the nearby Kyambura village offers insight into traditional Ugandan village life. After the enlightening experience, we head back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for our journey south to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive through the park gives us another chance to spot elephants, monkeys, and diverse birdlife. In the afternoon, we enjoy a game drive in Ishasha, famous for its tree-climbing lions.

DAY 8: GORILLA TREKKING DAY- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Early morning breakfast prepares us for an exciting drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the majestic Mountain Gorillas. Today marks the highlight of your Uganda safari – your gorilla trekking experience. Guided by a specialized ranger, you’ll trek through the dense jungle to spend one unforgettable hour with the gorillas. This ancient forest is vibrant with birds, butterflies, and diverse plant species, as well as forest hogs and elephants. Post-trek, your guide will return you to the lodge for relaxation amid breathtaking views.

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO & GAME-DRIVE

After a delightful breakfast with views of the mountains, we continue our journey, leaving the magnificent mountains behind for Lake Mburo National Park. We aim to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll take a game drive through the park to encounter Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, Giraffes, Cape Buffaloes, and Impalas. With some luck, we may even catch a glimpse of a Leopard.

DAY 10: EARLY MORNING SAFARI WALK AND TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE AIRPORT

Awaken early for a morning safari walk around the lodge, where you may spot Zebras, Waterbucks, and Buffaloes as they greet the dawn. Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast before beginning our transfer back to Entebbe. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Equator, giving you a chance to stand on the line between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. We’ll connect you to Entebbe for your evening flight, marking the end of your extraordinary 10 days in Uganda (or, if you prefer, consider adding an extra night to your travels).
